For many elderly women in Kerala, old age becomes a silent struggle. Loneliness, abandonment, and illness often push them into a life of helplessness. But at Omalloor Santhwanam, we believe no mother should face her final years alone. Since our beginning on April 27, 2009, we have dedicated our hearts and hands to serving those who have no one else to care for them.
Today, more than 60 elderly women live with us — not as residents, but as family. We provide nutritious food, safe shelter, regular medical support, and most importantly, emotional warmth. Every festival, every prayer, every moment is lived together with love and respect.
But our mission goes far beyond elderly care. We conduct medical camps in tribal regions, provide education materials to underprivileged students, and offer food assistance to struggling families. During disasters like floods and COVID-19, our team was on the frontlines supporting government authorities and reaching the affected with essential help.
Omalloor Santhwanam stands as a symbol of humanity — powered by a devoted 9-member team, a strong volunteer family, and the kindness of generous donors.
Here, service is not an action — it is a way of life.
